On Jan 2009 I began a stem cell transplant to cure my Myelodysplastic Syndrome.Over the years I tried treatments like Nueprogen,Epogen,Thalidomide,Revlimid and Dicidabine.Plus lots & lots of other peoples blood (both red cells and platelets.)Thus the name of my blog. The idea was to stay alive until the next new thing came along.Or stem cell transplants had better survival rates.Hopefully this blog will be enjoyable and not all about me and medicine.
Stay with it, Steve - we're with you.

Steve:
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, and stay strong. Lots of interesting news on our front when you feel good enough for some distraction.
I have gotten a few small marketing pieces out on my own, but it's not the same without your wise counsel.
See you soon.
Steve
Was great to see you on Friday! Hoping your throat pain resolves ASAP - and you feel better. Will come by again soon!

Dear Stevie, Well, you sounded good tonght and that made us really pleased. So the plans are that you will be going to your home in Malibu on Monday, and we know that you are happy about that. We all are too. Hope today was a good day even though you had the bone marrow test done. That's over for right now. "One day at a time", right? I hear you're makng progress with mastering the steps. Another accomplishment!!!!!Not any new news with the three of us, boring. But for "old folks" it sounds worse then it is. Have a good night and a good day tomorrow. Love, Love, Love Always, Mom, Milt & Aunt Dottie
